報告摘要:Professor Cheng will explore the transformative potential of SpatioTemporal Artificial Intelligence (STAI) for maritime sustainability. Building upon her established successes in urban computing and transportation, she will examine how these advanced AI methodologies can be adapted to address the unique challenges of maritime decarbonisation.
The maritime industry generates vast amounts of spatiotemporal data through Automatic Identification System (AIS) tracking. Much like GPS data has revolutionized our understanding of human mobility patterns, AIS data presents unprecedented opportunities to optimize vessel operations, reduce emissions, and enhance maritime safety. Professor Cheng will demonstrate how lessons learned from analyzing human movement can inform sophisticated models for maritime vessel behavior and efficiency.
A key focus will be the integration of multimodal data streams to create comprehensive digital twins of maritime ecosystems. She will share her insights to explore how Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs) can process diverse inputs—from satellite imagery to sensor networks—creating intelligent systems capable of monitoring emissions, predicting maintenance needs, and suggesting optimal routing strategies.
報告人簡介:程濤教授是地理信息科學(xué)與時空人工智能(ST-AI)領(lǐng)域的國際權(quán)威,現(xiàn)任英國倫敦大學(xué)學(xué)院(UCL)終身教授 、UCL時空大數(shù)據(jù)分析實驗室(SpaceTimeLab)創(chuàng)始主任,,領(lǐng)銜英國國家級科研機構(gòu)艾倫·圖靈研究所城市智能研究,。其開創(chuàng)性研究融合地理信息系統(tǒng)與機器學(xué)習(xí),構(gòu)建的多模態(tài)交通模型被英國交通部國家智慧交通政策框架,,成功應(yīng)用于倫敦奧運會交通調(diào)度,、英國鐵路網(wǎng)優(yōu)化及聯(lián)合國災(zāi)害響應(yīng)體系。主持科研項目經(jīng)費逾2500萬英鎊,,發(fā)表論文200余篇,,連續(xù)多年入選Elsevier全球前2%高被引學(xué)者。作為UCL工程學(xué)院首位華裔女性正教授,、她創(chuàng)建跨學(xué)科人才培養(yǎng)體系,,累計指導(dǎo)20余名博士生/博士后,并推動中國,、新加坡,、英國、美國,、泰國,、韓國、中國香港及荷蘭多地聯(lián)合研究合作,。本碩師從武漢大學(xué)李德仁院士(中國科學(xué)院,、工程院雙院士,2023國家最高科學(xué)技術(shù)獎獲得者),,獲荷蘭瓦赫寧根大學(xué)博士學(xué)位及法國最高研究學(xué)位(HDR),。
